125th Medical Airmen train in the tropics
U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 125th Medical Group, Florida Air National Guard, pose in front of Tripler Army Medical Center, Army Post Schofield Barracks, July 13, 2022. The multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, dentists and bioenvironmental technicians satisfied much-needed inpatient clinical hours and medical training in a hospital environment. Airmen of the 202nd RED HORSE Squadron participated in a contingency exercise for their second phase of training before deploying overseas. RED HORSE units provide the Air Force with a highly mobile and rapidly deployable civil engineering response force capable of independently responding to contingency and special operations in remote, high-threat environments world-wide. This exercise allowed the reinforcement and implementation of their training in a safe environment, while performing under simulated challenges they may face while down range. Operation SPACECAT: Building Joint Electromagnetic Warfare Professionals
Pictured are the official patches of the U.S. Navy’s Electronic Attack Squadron 139 (VAQ-139), and the U.S. Air Force's 114th Space Control Squadron, who are known as the "Cougars" and "Thundercats," respectively. The squadrons collaborated in December 2021 during a two-day mission coined Operation SPACECAT. The purpose of the mission was to share best practices among tactical Electromagnetic Warfare experts about the capabilities of systems and learn about space missions in and around Cape Canaveral Space Station, FL.
