  • An F-16 fighter jet assigned to the 93rd Fighter Squadron at Homestead Air Reserve Base takes off on a training mission. Homestead pilots, maintainers and support personnel have volunteered to temporarily support “Operation Noble Eagle” in addition to training for combat operations. The reservists are pulling the alert mission temporarily in lieu of a detachment of Florida Air National Guardsmen based out of the 125th Fighter Wing, Jacksonville, Fla.
