Rogers distinguished himself while performing as an EOD team leader in Ghanzni Province, Afghanistan. Rogers found and cleared over 33 IED's on over 69 combat missions, destroyed over a thousand pounds of enemy weaponry, and cleared over 1200 miles of routes allowing freedom of movement for both special and conventional coalition forces
