Carter Logistics Effectiveness Award for outstanding logistical achievements and performance. The prestigious award is given to a base-level unit with the best supply, effectiveness record, and support of mission aircraft and weapons. The squadron was adjudicated on their execution of direct mission support, innovative management, and quality of life programs for the period of October 2021 – September 2022. The 98-member squadron executes logistics operations for more than 2,000 Airmen in the Florida Air National Guard, the most geographically-separated unit in the Air National Guard. Their primary mission is to maintain wartime readiness by planning and carrying out the movement, supply and maintenance of equipment and personnel. The 125th LRS was recognized for several noteworthy efforts packed into one year. This included a deployment in support of Operation NOBLE EAGLE, a 90-day homeland defense mission which deployed about a third of the Wing, eight F-15C Eagle aircraft and 150 tons of equipment to protect airspace around the National Capital. They also deployed over three dozen Airmen to conduct total force training with active-duty, reserve and Navy counterparts on 140 tasks that increased war readiness. The award is presented annually by the Air Force chief of staff.
